RatMally Ambassador Mike “Spike” Edwards pulled double duty at a sunny Donington Park, campaigning the A&G Motorsports Krämer 690 and his own CB500 project bike, affectionately named "Barry":
- 🏁 Dual Pole Positions: Top spot on the grid for both the Krämer and 'Barry'!
- 🏆 Krämer 690 Supermono: 1st and 2nd place finishes
- 🏆 CB500 Class: Clean sweep of race wins for 'Barry'
In a massive 42-bike single-cylinder grid, Mike faced heart-stopping drama in Supermono Race 1 when the bike stalled on the line. Surviving dozens of unsighted riders streaming past at race pace was a victory in itself. He bounced back to win Race 2, and locked in a close 2nd in Race 3, losing out at the line to his 19-year-old prodigy, Jack Long, in a brilliant dash to the finish.
Meanwhile, his RatMally custom-wrapped project bike, 'Barry' the CB500, punched well above his weight. Snatched an outright pole position against much larger machinery on a mixed grid, 'Barry' dominated the CB500 class with a clean sweep of wins, crossing the line 2nd overall on track each time. The only dampener was a controversial 5-second penalty for a yellow-flag overtake, later disproved by Mike’s onboard camera footage!
A huge shout-out goes to the Supermono GB organizers and the eight Swedish riders who drove 28 hours non-stop to support what is now the largest single-cylinder championship in Europe.
🏁 Next Race: Cadwell Park (15th–16th August 2026). Mike has been invited by the Yamaha Past Masters to guest-ride the BEMSEE YPM TZR250 club bike, host a track walk, and shoot promo videos!
