Ambassadors Racing; Nick Round on his Yamaha R6
RatMally Ambassador Nick Round continued his incredible form in Northern Ireland, conquering the ultra-challenging and mental Mid Antrim 150 circuit aboard his Yamaha R6:
- 🌧️ Qualifying: 4th on the grid (Mastering treacherous, changing conditions)
- 🏆 Senior Support Race 1: 3rd Place overall (A hard-fought podium)
- 🏁 Senior Support Race 2: 2nd Place overall (Beaten only by a former British Talent Cup star!)
The opening day brought the ultimate test of road racing concentration, serving up torrential rain, sudden showers, and brief sunshine on repeat. Despite being a relative newcomer to the discipline, Nick kept his head down to lock in an impressive 4th place on the grid.
Race day certainly delivered. In the opening race, Nick claimed a brilliant 3rd place on the box. It easily could have been a 2nd, but a slight overshoot on the brakes entering a road-end cost him vital drive down the long, flat-out run to the finish line. He made amends in Race 2, riding flawlessly to secure a superb 2nd place, finishing just 5 seconds behind a seasoned former British Talent Cup frontrunner.
Nick wraps up his successful ten-day Northern Irish tour with an impressive clutch of silverware, which will undoubtedly boost his upcoming Manx Grand Prix application.
