RatMally Ambassador; Liam Murtagh
Liam’s first outing at the tight and technical Knockhill circuit did not disappoint as he delivered a highly impressive debut performance aboard his Kawasaki ZX10RR in the ultra-competitive Pirelli Power Series:
Qualifying went well and Liam found himself 11th on the grid. He was very pleased to achieve 6th Place in race 1, and 5th place in race 2 and then Round 3 ended in a rare (for Lam) crash and a DNF.
Despite the infamous Scottish reputation for treacherous downpours, the paddock was blessed with three full days of warm sunshine and near-perfect racing conditions.
Liam made spectacular progress across every single stint, finding extra pace in every session and steadily dropping his lap times to match the series frontrunners. After battling through the pack to claim those 6th and 5th-place finishes, the crash made for a disappointing ending to an enjoyable weekend but is very clear on the progress he made towards his season goals.
Despite the late setback, the massive steps forward at a completely new circuit proved exactly why Liam remains a major force in the national standings.
